Who We Are
-

A virtual clinic and care community
more
A health home means bringing all of it together in one place: visits, guided programs, Sugar, the education built into your care, a Healthcare Homegirl who keep your care connected, and Kyn, our community for connection and shared learning.
-

A Black-women-owned practice
more
We are by Black women, for Black women. Shared identity is our foundation and part of what makes care affirming. We pair that lived understanding with an intentional practice of learning, reflection, and accountability. Everyone at Kyndred is trained in Togather’s ALI™ model of Anti-Racism, Liberation, and Intersectionality. The framework shapes how we listen, make decisions, and care for the whole of who you are.

Built to thrive, not just survive.
more
Conventional medicine asks "what's wrong?" We ask "what's possible?" Kyndred weaves evidence-based practice with traditional healing wisdom to build care that accounts for what chronic stress, systemic barriers, and decades of dismissal do to the body. We reject one-size-fits-all care and replace it with root-cause, whole-person care designed to help you feel your best.
We center Black women and welcome all whose bodies and needs align with our services, including trans and gender-expansive folks.

The reason navigating your care feels different here
Meet Your Healthcare Homegirl
She’s not a chatbot or a customer service line. She’s a real person in your corner. Someone who understands how exhausting it can be to navigate healthcare, knows where things tend to get stuck, and helps keep your care moving.
When a prescription hits a snag, she’s calling the pharmacy. When a referral has been sitting unanswered, she’s following up. When you have a question after your visit, she’s helping you figure out what comes next. And when something doesn’t feel right, she’s making sure you don’t have to address it alone.
Because managing your health shouldn’t feel like another full-time job.

more frequently asked questions
-
Can I use insurance?
Kyndred visits are currently self-pay, giving us room for longer appointments, thoughtful testing, and the deeper work of understanding what may be driving your symptoms. But insurance can still play a role in your care.
We provide superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement, and you can use HSA/FSA funds for eligible services. Depending on your plan, insurance may also cover prescribed medications. For labs, we pass our pre-negotiated discounted rates directly to you.
-
Do I need a diagnosis to book?
No.
Most members start with symptoms, not diagnoses. -
Is this emergency care?
No. While we’re here to support your health journey, Kyndred is not a replacement for emergency services.
If you are experiencing an urgent medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.

Your personal learning hub. A better source than Dr. GPT or Dr. TikTok — expert-backed, tailored to you.
On the name:
Kyn. Kindred. Family.
For generations, Black women have created care for each other when the system wouldn’t. The cousin who checks in. The auntie with the remedy. The friend who insists you get seen. Kyndred honors that legacy with care that’s thoughtful, whole-person, and built for us.
A nod to Octavia Butler's Kindred. To the Kindred Southern Healing Justice Collective. In the lineage of the healing justice movement, the Kindred Southern Healing Justice Collective, Kindred LA Birthspace, and all whose names we carry forward with abundant belief that Black futures are possible.
To every Black woman who has carried care forward. You've been the strong one for everyone else. Let Kyn take care of you now.
This is care that demands change. Holding Octavia E. Butler's reminder close:
"All that you touch, you change. All that you change, changes you."
In Our Lineage
In the tradition of the granny midwives, root workers, conjurers, reproductive justice organizers, and Black feminist healers who built care for their people when the world refused to.
For the care architects who named something our communities have always known: that care, in its truest form, is ancestral, mutual, political, and always collective.
From Us, To You
"Kyndred is our love letter to Black women — and to the younger versions of ourselves who deserved more: better care, clearer answers, and spaces that truly affirm us."
— Brittany, Tesiah, and Kimberly
