OUR MISSION
Kyndred exists to transform the healthcare experience and outcomes for Black women across the United States.

Black Women Deserve Better
—And We’re Building It
For generations, Black women in the U.S. have had to navigate a healthcare system that was never designed with us in mind. Too often, our experiences of pain are dismissed, our symptoms overlooked, and our concerns met with indifference. The result? Devastating and persistent health disparities that stretch across generations.
Despite making up 10.5 million women of reproductive age and 22 million Black women overall, our communities remain underserved, under-researched, and overlooked. Black women are:
3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women.
More likely to experience untreated reproductive health conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, and cervical cancer.
Facing racial bias in healthcare that leads to delayed diagnoses, poorer treatment, and worse outcomes.
The numbers don’t lie: Black women are a powerhouse in the healthcare economy, spending billions annually on out-of-pocket healthcare costs—yet still facing systemic neglect. This isn’t just a health crisis; it’s a moral and economic failure.
At Kyndred, we’re not here to patch up a broken system.
We’re here to transform it.
Our approach is digital-first, race-conscious, and community-driven, centering Black women in every aspect of their care. We are creating a healthcare home where Black women don’t just receive care—they are prioritized, affirmed, and empowered.
This isn’t just about better health outcomes—it’s about Black women thriving. And with the right care, we will.

From Us, For You
Kyndred is our love letter to Black women and to the younger versions of ourselves who deserved more: better care, clearer answers, and spaces that truly affirm us.
We created this for you because we know what it feels like to be overlooked and unheard. With decades of collective experience in physical and mental health and wellness, our founding team is deeply connected to this work, driven by both professional experience and lived understanding. Together, we’re rewriting the rules of healthcare—one that puts you at the center.
You deserve better.
For too long, you have been dismissed, unheard, and forced to navigate a healthcare system that was never designed with you in mind. A system that has too often failed to listen, care, and honor your full humanity.
But we see you—not just your struggles, but your strength, your resilience, and your worth. We know your story because it’s our story too. Black women have always been each other's refuge—holding space, offering wisdom, and creating care where the world refused to. Kyndred carries that powerful legacy forward, merging digital-first, race-concordant care, and community-driven wellness, to transform the way Black women access and experience healthcare.
We are your holistic health home, designed with you, for us. Through virtual care, expert providers, and digital tools tailored to you, our approach is intentional, evidence-based, and rooted in the understanding of the full spectrum of your well-being—from reproductive and sexual health to mental health and beyond.
Together, we’re building the healthcare system Black women deserve and creating the future of care, led by us and for us.
In fierce community,
Brittany, Tesiah, and Kimberly

We are building a future where Black women have uninterrupted access to high-quality, comprehensive healthcare—free from systemic barriers, racial bias, and inequities. When something feels off—whether it’s a new symptom, a lingering concern, or just an intuitive sense that something isn’t right—there is no need to wait, wonder, or worry alone.
When a Kyndred member has questions about their cycle, birth control, or the changes in their body, they can schedule a visit with a provider who looks like them, who sees their whole story, and who will never rush them through their concerns. She can speak openly about her pleasure, her fears, and her health goals without judgment—because at Kyndred, her wellness isn’t just about preventing illness; it’s about thriving.
While we start with a focus on sexual and reproductive health, our long-term vision includes in-person care, and expansion into primary care, creating a holistic health home that supports Black women through menopause, and beyond.
